Total NW Gas Consumption 2008New Report: Easing Off the Gas

A new Sightline report shows total gasoline consumption in the Northwest fell by 180 million gallons in 2008. A nearly decade-long trend of decline in per-capita gasoline consumption, record high transit ridership, and recent declines in Vehicle Miles Traveled could mean that transportation patterns are--or have been--changing in the region.
