Vancouver, BC: The Smartest of Them All
This chart from Sightline's 2007 Cascadia Scorecard ranks the top six cities in the northwest for smart-growth. As it turns out, Vancouver is the smartest cookie in the jar. Not only that, but compared to its US counterparts, British Columbia has the lowest teen birth rate, smaller families, residents that use the least gasoline and energy, the longest life expectancy, and an overall better sustainability score.
