Have Oregon’s land-use policies made a difference in how the state’s cities have grown? This series of historic growth maps, originally created for the University of Oregon’s Atlas of Oregon, suggests that they did. This map shows Portland’s growth since 1900; 1980 marks the point when Oregon’s land-use policies began to take effect.
Date Range: 1900-2000
