From October 7 to October 29, 2008, Sightlne is running a campaign to increase the number of email subscribers to Sightline Daily, with a three-day trip for two to Vancouver, BC, worth $1,500, as the prize. Here are a few key facts about how the "Escape to Vancouver" sweepstakes works and what the prize entails.

How can you enter to win?

• Current Sightline Daily email subscribers who successfully refer their friends to subscribe will be entered in a drawing to win the sweepstakes. You get one entry for each friend who signs up. (Go here to refer your friends to Sightline Daily.)
• Anyone who signs up for a Sightline email during the campaign will also be entered in the drawing. And once you subscribe, you can refer your friends, family, and coworkers and increase your chances of winning. (Go here to sign up for a Sightline Daily email.)
  
  

What does the trip include?

The "Escape to Vancouver" we've lined up for the prize winner and a guest features an itinerary that could double as a "best of" for downtown Vancouver. It includes:

• Amtrak train tickets to Vancouver from one of several Northwest cities.
  

• Two nights at the Listel Hotel, Vancouver's "most art-full" accommodation, a boutique hotel located on Robson in the heart of Vancouver’s vibrant cultural scene.
  

• Gift certificates or vouchers for five meals out, including dinners at two of the city’s most celebrated Green Table restaurants: Chambar, a Belgian bistro in Gastown where Michelin-trained chef Nico Schuerman has received rave reviews for his innovative tapas-style menu; and Wild Rice, a contemporary Chinese restaurant in Vancouver's historic Chinatown that's been called one of Vancouver's "most well-conceived restaurants."

• All-day passes on Vancouver's SkyTrain and bus system.

• A selection of terrific downtown activities you and your guest can choose from, including an urban walking or biking tour by former Vancouver city councillor and acclaimed urban design expert Gordon Price, tickets to the world-renowned BC Museum of Anthropology (re-opening March 3, 2009), or tickets to the Vancouver Museum.
