Ferries without fumes
The work of restoring full ferry service is taking place alongside progress towards another goal, reducing the diesel pollution created by the system’s fleet of vessels. Washington State Ferries has set a goal of cutting emissions 70% by 2040, and achieving a 95% reduction, effectively net zero, by 2050.
