How to Successfully Talk About Climate and Energy in Alberta Oil Country

What can the people of Alberta, Canada—the eighth-largest producer of oil and natural gas in the world—teach the rest of us about how to talk about climate change and clean energy?

The Alberta Narratives Project researched best practices to foster more open and constructive conversations in the heart of Canada’s oil country.

The lessons may hold promise for communicators far from the tar sands. Indeed, up and down pipeline routes, we have much to gain from Albertans’ wisdom on engaging people in solutions for global warming and an equitable transition to clean energy. Here is our summary of this extensive message research project. Please let us know what you think!
