Viaduct Referendum Event at Seattle Public Library

With the August 16 Primary ballot fast approaching, Seattle citizens will soon be able to vote on Referendum 1, relating to the replacement of the Alaskan Way Viaduct.

What does this vote really mean? Many have said this is an important opportunity for the citizens of Seattle to voice their opinion on the tunnel option. What do you think? Join Seattle City Club, Publicola, and the Seattle Public Library on August 4th to discuss the viaduct referendum and consequences of the vote.

  • What: A discussion of the viaduct replacement tunnel option
  1. Who: Tim Eyman, Senator Adam Kline and Josh Feit of PubliCola on the initiative process; Councilmember Mike O’Brien, Kate Joncas of the Downtown Seattle Association, and Erica C. Barnett of PubliCola on the referendum
  1. When: Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 6:00- 7:30pm, registration at 5:30pm
  1. Where: Seattle Public Library, Central Branch, Microsoft Auditorium | 1000 Fourth Avenue, Seattle

The event is free and seating is limited, so pre-registration is recommended and available online.
