After the 2016 presidential election, Sightline programs director Eric de Place created a “Trump Time Capsule,” and asked friends and colleagues to write down predictions for the future under a Trump presidency.
On Monday, Eric joined KBOO Community Radio‘s Barbara Bernstein to open up the capsule and look back on those predictions. Together, they talk about how the Trump administration has changed the political and environmental landscape in the Northwest, as well as local achievements that have successfully resisted parts of the Trump administration’s agenda. Local achievements include the fight against fossil fuel development in the Northwest and the protection of the Columbia River watershed.
