Car Sharing Means Fewer Cars

Our friends over at Sharable have highlighted a new study on car sharing, and what the actual effects are. Most significantly:

  • Each car sharing vehicle on the road removed 9-13 personal vehicles—either sold after joining or a decision was made not to buy.
  • Car-sharing vehicles are usually efficient, saving significant amounts of gas.
  • Many households became car-free after joining.
