Streetfilms, an organization creating short videos about smart transportation infrastructure that improves our streets, has produce two new videos about Vancouver, BC. Both are worth a few minutes of your time.

The first takes a look at how the city improved safety on its bikeways, encouraging folks of all ages to get on a bike:

The second examines the ways Vancouver and surrounding cities have worked to integrate cycling with other forms of transit–buses, lightrail, and ferries (it also guest-stars Sightline boardmember Kamala Rao):

Both videos paint a picture of a city dedicated to making cycling easy and providing cheap, efficient alternatives to driving. It’s great to see Cascadia’s northern gem being highlighted as an example to the world.
